10 Wonderful Beach Bars around the World

I love traveling and I love different beaches, but I also love visiting different beach bars. I’m not talking about those luxurious hotels on the edge of the beach that extend their property onto the sands. I’m talking about real bars on the beach. The most awesome bars on the beach are bars that open early in the morning and stay open until the next morning. Bars, where local fishermen share their secrets of the best catch and where you can enjoy tasty fresh caught fish. Here are a few wonderful beach bars around the world.

1. Pelican Bar, Treasure Beach, Jamaica

This bar is actually not on the beach but in the middle of the ocean! It stands on stilts off Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. It takes about 20 minutes by boat to get to the Pelican Bar. You can swim, sunbathe, snorkel, tuck into tasty fresh caught lobster or fish for lunch or just lie back drink a refreshing cocktail and do absolutely nothing. You can even catch fish and ask them to cook it for you.
Most local fishermen can ferry you over to the bar from Black River or Treasure Beach, you just need to ask in your hotel. Sure, the twenty-minute journey won’t suit people with very delicate stomachs, but Pelican Bar is certainly worth the trip. Moreover, you may see some dolphins swimming right by your boat!

2. Theros Wave Bar, Santorini, Greek

One of the most celebrated Greek Islands, Santorini is one of the best beach bars in the Mediterranean. Theros Wave Bar is not only a bar, it’s a destination! This bar is located among the Eros beach’s white rocks on the southern coast of Santorini. One of the best things about Theros Wave Bar is that it offers awesome ocean views!
Theros Wave Bar is also a wonderful place for a magical wedding day to remember. This extraordinary location is just perfect for weddings as well as wedding receptions. Great location off the beaten track, breathtaking sunset, and excellent service!

3. Pierre and Friends, Batroun, Lebanon

Sometimes we want simplicity and no frills, we just want good company and good drinks in a good setting. If you want it right now, then think of going to Pierre and Friends, one of the world’s best beach bars. It’s doesn’t rock with the latest tunes and it’s not flashy, but it occupies a little strip of pebbly beach between Batroun and Byblos and it offers stunning views!
There is no pretension here, you can take your favorite drink and enjoy a good company and the views of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Whether it is summer or winter, this place is always packed! But during the summer season, you can eat right on the sea side. Pierre and Friends serves generally fresh fish, fondues and mezze.

4. Uxua Praia, Bahia, Brazil

If you like everything quirky, you will definitely love this bar. Uxua Praia was built from reclaimed fishing boats and it’s situated on the Barra do Rio Trancoso in the province of Bahia. Yes, you will really get served your tipple from an old, yet beautiful fishing wreck.
The bartenders make great versions of the national cocktail of Brazil, the caipirinha, and they also have cold beers. Plus, they can hack open a fresh coconut and pop in a straw so you can sip a tasty coconut water. Grab your caipirinha, settle on the big cushioned sofa under flat-roofed pergolas and enjoy the beautiful views or watch the guys on the beach play volleyball.
